Axcient Appliance Instantly Recovers Virtual Images

Axcient, which provides a backup and recovery cloud computing service that is resold by IT services companies, today rolled out a new instant recovery capability for servers.

ServerAlive works by launching a virtual server on a local Axcient appliance that customers can use until they get their physical servers up and running again. Once the server is up, the image and new data stored on the appliance can be migrated to that server.

ServerAlive, said Axcient CEO Justin Moore, is designed to be a complement to Axcient’s RapidRestore agentless backup service that is used by IT services companies to provide backup and recovery as a managed service.

IT organizations are reporting that they are having difficulty meeting their recovery point and time objectives. While new technologies that help them meet those objectives are increasingly becoming available, the challenge is funding new product acquisitions at a time when IT budgets are under pressure.

For that reason, Moore said Axcient chose to make ServerAlive a service delivered by the same appliance infrastructure that many its customer’s already have in place to facilitate data backup.

This is understandable that money makes us free. But what to do when somebody has no money? The only one way is to get the business loans or just bank loan.
