Boomi Brings Brokering to the Cloud

In anticipation of a growing requirement to integrate disparate applications being delivered via the cloud, Boomi today announced that  version 10 of its AtomSphere middleware service now includes a cloud broker capability.

The new release adds a brokering capability that is expected to become a critical requirement of IT organizations that will soon be charged with integrating multiple software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications and cloud computing platforms into a cohesive IT platform.

The Boomi broker will work by deploying a run-time agent that is integrated with the Boomi service. According to Boomi CTO Rick Nucci, this approach allows the middleware service to scale in a way that doesn’t require the customer to master the intricacies of programming low-level Web services interfaces.

Boomi also provides a Web Service Publishing facility that allows applications that do not have a Web services interface to add the underlying Web services functionality needed to integrate with the Boomi service.

Boomi, along with companies such as Vordel and Unisys, is among the first providers of middleware services designed specifically for integrating inherently distributed sets of cloud computing services that are rapidly becoming standard elements of the corporate IT infrastructure.

Check DBSync at www.mydbsync.com. While you will find a lot of similarity with other ondemand integrators, they offer both ondemand and on-premise integration and are fraction of cost of most of them.
