Cloud Service Disrupts the Virtual Desktop

I’m always on the lookout for the next paradigm shift – one that wraps technology up in new packaging and delivers IT in a new fashion. The latest candidate I have come across is OS33 – a cloud-based service that does a bit more than the typical managed service provider (MSP) or software-as a-service (SaaS) offerings.

Actually, it is a little hard to describe what OS33 is all about – especially in a blog post; however, I’ll take a stab at it here. OS33 offers a unified approach to a hosted desktop platform – in other words, it uses virtualization technology using a Citrix-based webtop in the cloud, with applications, security and file sharing all incorporated.

The company’s current model of deployment is cloud computing-based, but one has to wonder: If you were to deploy the complete solution on a private, internal cloud, would you be able to completely eliminate the need for desktop applications, OS provisioning and PC asset management utilities?

CTOs will need to pay attention to this trend. After all, OS33’s style of delivering a complete platform in the cloud may just change how PCs are used and data centers are designed.

I have been looking for the information about this interesting service such as cloud service which may disrupt the virtual desktop. I would be very glad to learn all about cloud service instead of desktop application. It is a nice job.
