According to Vipul Parmar, lead solutions architect for Cordys, the Google Apps compatible BPM offering is a lightweight implementation of the company’s on-premise BPM software that has been made available as a service that integrates with Google Apps. The smartphone support is enabled via a new Mobile Apps Composer offering, which allows users to design business processes for their smartphone.
IT organizations, he said, are looking for ways to enable the development of new business process applications around software-as-a-service applications. The Cordys approach is to offer a BPM toolset that integrates with Google Apps and the richer on-premise BPM software that Cordys also offers.
The smartphone support bridges the gap between business users who are constantly mobile and the business process management service, said Parmar.
The Cordys Mobile App Composer is scheduled to be available in June. Pricing for the software is $95 per user per year.
