The company is trying to push a concept called continuous application lifecycle management that turns managing applications into an automated ongoing process, versus an occasional event. This approach, said dynaTrace technology strategist Andi Grabner, reduced the mean time to repair for most application issues by 80 percent.
Grabner said one of the primary reasons that most IT organizations have yet to embrace ALM is that most of the offerings out there are process-intensive and expensive to deploy. The dynaTrace approach, he said, is a comparatively simple approach that includes setting up dashboards around specific applications that make it easier to identify problems.
As part of its support for Microsoft.net, version 3.2 of PurePath includes direct support for BizTalk applications and improved integration with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
