eEye Closes Compliance Gap

The Retina CS 2.0 Management Console is a Web-based management console for identifying and tracking security vulnerabilities. This new release adds modules that can be used for configuration compliance, regulatory reports and patch management.

According to eEye CTO Marc Maiffert, IT organizations need to closely couple the security and compliance management processes because a security vulnerability generally means that the IT organization is now also in violation of some compliance requirement. In addition, the IT people are charged with managing security and increasingly handling the tasks associated with compliance reporting.

The Retina CS 2.0 Management Console is built on top of the Retina Security Scanner, a vulnerability management system developed by eEye. The updated management console and related software modules can be deployed on a stand-alone appliance or an existing system.
