According to David Lynch, vice president of marketing for Embotics, IT organizations can define reports based on the role of an individual within the organization. That means instead of, for example, an application owner having to sort through all the data available in version 3.6 of V-Commander, they can be presented with only the data relevant to their application.

While some organizations can deliver these types of reports using V-Center from VMware, Lynch said Embotics has greatly simplified the process of gathering and reporting data on VMware deployments compared to what IT organizations can accomplish using vCenter tools from VMware.
Separately, Lynch said that Embotics will be demonstrating support for Hyper-V virtual machines from Microsoft for the first time at the VMworld 2010 conference next week.
