Kaazing Rolls out Websockets Gateway

As part of an effort to simplify the shift toward HTML 5, Kaazing today launched a WebSocket gateway that promises to significantly improve the performance of Web applications.

Websockets provide a bi-directional communications framework for Web applications. The Kaazing gateway makes it easier for existing Web applications and HTML 5 applications to take advantage of Websockets.

Kaazing CTO John Fallows said Kaazing has spent most of the last year on optimizing the performance of the underlying Websocket communications framework.

Kaazing is also working on making Websockets a “first class Microsoft.Net citizen” so IT organizations can build multiple types of Web applications that share a common communications framework.

The Kaazing Websocket Gateway is available for download starting May 28th.
