Lenovo Pushes All-in-One PC for Business

Although all-in-one PCs are fairly common in the consumer space, this PC form factor has made little headway in the corporate sector.

Lenovo wants to change that with the launch today of a 23-inch ThinkCentre M90z all-in-one PC. Available with Intel Core i5 or i3 processors, the ThinkCentre M90z is aimed at customers that need to access large screens in relatively tight quarters, said Bill Dominici, a Lenovo worldwide product manager.

Dominici said he also sees the ThinkCentre M90z as a complement to notebook systems that can easily be plugged into the ThinkCentre M90z to take advantage of the large screen.

Users who access multiple applications simultaneously are increasingly looking for larger screen real estate to help manage multiple application windows. Dominici also noted that a feature of Windows 7 allows users to partition the screen between two completely different instances of Windows 7 running on the machine.

In addition to the new all-in-one PC, Lenovo also unveiled today a compact ThinkStation C20 dual-port workstation and a 21.5-in monitor that includes a built-in port replicator.

Pricing for the ThinkCentre M90z starts at $899.

The links to Lenovo's site are dead. Oops! I wonder what the screen partitioning thing is all about. Sounds odd.
