Model Metrics Enhances Mobile Cloud Platform

Model Metrics, a provider of a cloud computing application for building and deploying mobile computing applications, today rolled out a new modular architecture designed to make it easier for customers to consume individual services.

According to Model Metrics CTO John Barnes, the company created the Model Metrics 2GO Cloud Platform on top of the Force.com platform from Salesforce.com to deploy a set of packaged applications for mobile computing devices created by Model Metrics that can be loosely coupled with other Model Metric services.

The platform, says Barnes, also leverages Adobe AIR and HTML 5 development tools to create custom applications and can also easily be integrated with applications from Google or Salesforce.com.

The 2GO Cloud platform supports iPhone and iPad devices from Apple, devices based on the Android operating system from Google, devices based on Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices from Research in Motion.
