The company has extended the Nimsoft Monitoring Solution (NMS) by developing application programming interfaces that IT organizations can deploy to keep track of performance on any cloud service or software-as-a-service application provider. In addition, Nimsoft as a customer of these services will be providing comparative baseline data concerning the performance of various cloud services to its customers via a portal called unifiedmonitoring.com. Here's a look at the interface:

Services that will be immediately supported by NMS include Google Apps, Salesforce.com, Rackspace and Amazon, all of which customers can monitor using a set of performance and capacity-planning reports developed by Nimsoft.
Because NMS already supports virtualization platforms from Microsoft, VMware and Citrix, Nimsoft officials said NMS can keep pace with rapidly changing cloud computing services platforms to give customer a truly dynamic approach to enforcing service level agreements (SLA) with cloud computing providers.
At present, most cloud computing services are “virtual blackholes” when it comes to systems management that makes some IT organization hesitant to embrace a model for delivering IT services that can’t easily be measured.
