NeuxPower Eliminates File Bloat

As IT organizations struggle with the rapid growth in data, NeuxPower Solutions is proposing that rather than buying more storage, IT organizations should focus more on reducing the size of the files being stored. Most of these files, said NeuxPower Solutions CEO Mike Power, contain embedded images and other types of data that are not easily compressed. The end result, said Power, is that many of these files can be reduced in size by as much as 95 percent.

NeuxPower software identifies these images within files and reduces the size of those files by removing extraneous data that makes these files much larger than they need to be, said Power.

The server edition of the company’s file optimization software builds on an existing version that is available for individual PC clients.

Pricing for the software is $2,499 per server.
