Pano Logic Expands Desktop Virtualization Reach

In recognition of the inevitability of heterogeneous virtual machine environments, Pano Logic released today an update to its desktop virtualization platform that now supports the three leading virtual machine environments.

According to Pano Logic CTO Aly Ordary, Pano System 4 software makes use of its own protocol to communicate with any of the virtual servers it supports using an architecture that requires no processing at the client.

Ordary says this creates a more efficient “zero-client” approach to desktop virtualization that is easier to support and manage.

That architecture, he adds, makes it easier to deploy Pano Logic software either on-premise or in a cloud computing environment because there are no latency issues involved with processing data on the client.

In addition, with the new release of Pano System 4, the company has also improved the performance of multimedia applications such as video via four USB ports.
