Smith Micro Masters Mobile File Transfer

With more end users relying on smartphones and other mobile computing devices, the need to find a way to efficiently transfer files using these devices is  increasing.

In a world where data usage plans are now tracked by the minute, end users need a service that allows them to transfer images and video from their mobile computing devices without having to send the same file over and over again.

The SendItNow file transfer service from Smith Micro Software allows users of Google Android or Apple iPhone and iPad devices to transfer files via the Smith Micro service.

Once a file has been transferred over a wireless connection a single time, users can then transfer that file to as many users as they want without incurring any additional data usage fees on their wireless connection.

Matthew Covington, senior director of product management for Smith Micro, says Smith Micro is seeing increased usage of mobile computing devices by field workers who need to capture data visually using mobile computing devices.

As the document creation and editing tools on these devices become richer over time, Covington says the need to efficiently transfer files is only going to increase.

Senditnow supports version 2.0 of the Google Android operating system along with 256-bit encryption.
