Splunk has expanded the management functionality surrounding its namesake management tool that leverages search engine technology to make it easier to discover issues and anomalies across a range of IT infrastructure systems.
Version 4.1 of Splunk now includes the ability to analyze live streaming IT events before that information is indexed by the Splunk search engine, expanded drill down utilities for analyzing systems management data, the ability to create workflows based on specific events, and the ability to more easily recognize patterns in various IT events.
