According to Sunbelt Software CEO Alex Eckelberry, the VIPRE security offerings from Sunbelt Software are all optimized around performance, which means that Sunbelt will eschew loading up its anti-malware software with features if they require too much of a sacrifice in terms of performance.

VIPRE Enterprise 4.0 adds the ability to manage Sunbelt Security software across multiple sites, the ability to manage end user security by defined roles, and enhanced support for 64-bit systems.
VIPRE Enterprise 4.0 Premium Edition adds firewall, intrusion detection, malicious Web site reporting, and host intrusion prevention to the core anti-virus and anti-spyware capabilities that are now all supported under a common agent.
Also being upgraded are VIPRE Anti-Virus 4.0 and VIPRE Anti-Virus Premium 4.0, which are the company's core end-point security products, and CounterSpy 4.0 and CounterSpy Premium 4.0, which are the company's ant-spyware products.
Following these releases, Eckelberry noted that Sunbelt Software will be moving to a more steady stream of regular release dates.
